The seven people injured in Thursday night's car wreck on Nacimiento Lake Drive are all local, authorities said Friday.
The driver of the BMW compact sedan was Mathew Bolton, 18, of Paso Robles. He was arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving; bail was set at $100,000. His blood alcohol content was not released.
His passengers include:
- Ashley Pamieri, 18, of Paso Robles
- Jesus Nusico, 19, of Paso Robles
- Brianna Stangeland, 21, of Atascadero
- Casey Compston, 21, of Paso Robles
- A 14-year-old juvenile, of Paso Robles
- Chasen Whittman, 19, of Paso Robles
The CHP is still investigating who was wearing a seat belt. There were not enough seat belts for the number of passengers riding in the sedan, authorities said.
The driver and passengers were transported via ambulance to two local hospitals; five went to Twin Cities Community Hospital and two went to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. The current condition of the driver and passengers has not been released.
The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. when the black compact rolled over on Nacimiento Lake Drive and Valley Quail Place. No other vehicles were involved.
Four ambulances were dispatched to the wreck and a CHP helicopter flew overhead to assist in the rescue effort.
