A car caught fire Wednesday evening, causing a minor delay in traffic on Highway 101 in the South County.

Passers-by snapped photos as crews put out the fire on the right side of Highway 101 just north of Thompson Avenue. The fire started about 6:30 p.m. and was controlled about 15 minutes later, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
