Easter egg hunts: six spots around slo county

Families looking for some Easter fun can attend one of several events throughout San Luis Obispo County today:

Arroyo Grande

Egg Hunt and Festival. 10 a.m. Activities include egg hunts, sack races, carnival, barbecue, face painting, bounce house, petting zoo and pony rides. Elm Street Park, Arroyo Grande. 473-5476.

Cambria

Easter Egg Coloring Party. 1 p.m. Bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs or coloring supplies if you like. Cambria Veterans Memorial Building, 1000 Main St., Cambria.

Los Osos

Easter Egg Hunt, Costume Contest and Home Egg Coloring Contest. Contest registration 9 a.m.; judging 10:30 a.m.; egg hunt 11 to 11:30 a.m. Costume contest for ages two through seven. Event includes a petting zoo, story time and childrenÂ’s activities. South Bay Community Center, 2180 Palisades Ave., Los Osos. Free. 801-4444.

Shell Beach

Easter Egg Hunt. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring basket to participate in egg hunt by age group, games, bounce house, face painting and food. Dinosaur Caves Park, Shell Beach. Free. 773-7063.

Nipomo

Egg Hunt and Kids Festival. 11 a.m. April 3. Event includes egg hunt, games, pony rides, bounce house, cake walk, puppet show and face painting. Nipomo Community Park, Pomeroy Road and West Tefft St., Nipomo. Free. 929-8990.

San Luis Obispo

Easter Egg Hunt. 10 a.m. to noon. Egg Hunt for kids 12 and under, face painting, balloon animals. Meadow Park, South Street and Meadow Street, San Luis Obispo. Free. Proceeds from a barbeque and raffle will benefit Haiti disaster relief. Hosted by Mountainbrook Community Church. 543-3162.
