Justin Bieber to headline Mid-State Fair concerts

Teen pop singer Justin Bieber will perform opening night of the California Mid-State Fair. The July 21 concert will start at 7:30 p.m. on the Main Grandstand. Tickets go on sale March 27 and will cost $30, $40, $50 or $75. The 16-year-old released his first album in November, with the singles One Time, One Less Lonely Girl, Love Me and Favorite Girl making it to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Biebers second album, MY WORLD 2.0 is set to be released Tuesday. The appearance at the Mid-State Fair is part of his first headlining tour.Biebers announcement follows a full slate of entertainers already secured for this summers fair.Grammy-winning country star Keith Urban will perform on July 28. America, best known for the song A Horse With No Name, performs July 21. The classic rock band is followed July 26 by Blue Oyster Cult, whose hits include Dont Fear the Reaper, Godzilla and Burnin for You, and July 28 by Smash Mouth, which rose to fame in the 1990s with the songs Walkin On the Sun and All Star. Country-music lovers can watch trio Stealing Angels, whose members include descendants of John Wayne and Loretta Lynn, on July 29, and singer Julianne Hough, who found fame as a professional dance champion on ABCs Dancing with the Stars, on July 30. Kenny Loggins will bring his rock sound to An Evening of Music & Wine on July 30. His biggest hits include Footloose, Danger Zone and Whenever I Call You Friend. Marketing director Tom Keffury said the fair lineup now includes celebrity ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, performing on July 22, and rock n roll pioneer Chubby Checker, who popularized the dance craze The Twist, on July 27. And the Country Rodeo Finals return July 31 for a night of barrel racing and bull riding, Keffury said.
