For only the 15th time in 42 Bassmaster Elite tournaments, Arroyo Grandes Jared Lintner finished out of the money Friday.
He caught a 13-pound, 9-ounce limit on the California Delta near Stockton on Friday, but he missed the first cut largely due to weighing only one bass Thursday.
Lintners 16-pound two-day total put him in 60th place, 13 spots and 3 pounds, 11 ounces from making the 47-angler cut.
Fifty-five of the 93 entrants had five-fish limits Friday, 15 more limits than opening day. There were seven sacks over 20 pounds.
While the 47 survivors are deciding matters at the Delta the next two days, Lintner and the other non-qualifiers move on to Clear Lake where Elite event No. 2 will be contested March 18-21.
