Three times, Rory Doll has taken a golf course for Nipomo High this year. Three times, he has earned medalist honors.

Doll, a 6-foot-5 senior, shot a 76 Wednesday afternoon at the par-72 Blacklake Golf Resort, leading the Titans (3-0) to a 445-470 nonleague win over Cabrillo in windy conditions. His performance came despite carding an 8 on a par-4 hole.

“He’s playing really well,” Nipomo coach Paul Springer said. “He’s been really consistent.”

In Doll’s previous outings, he shot a 72 and a 73, respectively, both at Cypress Ridge in Arroyo Grande.

On Wednesday, Stevie Canales added an 84 for Nipomo, while teammate Alex Mueller shot an 87. Chas Whitmore paced the Conquistadores with an 86.

Despite the loss, the Eagles (3-1) claimed all but one singles matchup heading into PAC 7 play.
