Morro Bay
Bruce Ambo will resign from his job as the citys public works director as of April 1.
He has held the job since December 2002. City engineer Rob Livick will serve as acting public services director after Ambo leaves.
During Ambos tenure, the city has completed several large projects including the Harbor Walk project and the round-about project as well as initiating the citys largest capital project to date, renovation of the citys wastewater treatment plant.
I am very proud of the accomplishments of the city and our staff during my time with Morro Bay, Ambo said.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Bakersfield, has announced that his office is accepting internship applications for a summer Congressional Internship program.
Applicants should have strong writing and computer skills, be at least a junior in college and maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
All applications will be considered; however, preference will be given to residents of the 22nd Congressional District, which includes most of Kern and San Luis Obispo counties, and part of Los Angeles County.
Summer interns are responsible for their transportation and lodging expenses, but will receive a $1,500 stipend. The program is six weeks long; interns spend two weeks in the Bakersfield district office and four weeks in the Washington, D.C., office.
Anyone interested can download the internship application at Kevinmccarthy.house.gov.
