Highway 1 at the south end of Big Sur is now fully open during the day, Caltrans announced Wednesday. Crews are still working to clear a rockslide that blocked the highway early Friday at Alder Creek, south of Gorda.
The road will continue to completely close from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
