Detectives arrested five people after a San Luis Obispo traffic stop Friday led to the discovery of drugs, plus a vehicle and other property allegedly stolen, according to police.
About 10 a.m., San Luis Obispo police pulled over a vehicle occupied by local resident Jacob Walter Kiser, 27, and William Michael Soto, 19, of Arroyo Grande at Madonna Road and El Mercado. Police arrested Kiser and Soto.
Detectives investigating thefts in the city discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen, according to the Police Department.
As the investigation continued, detectives searched a residence nearby along the 11000 block of Los Osos Valley Road, police said.
At the residence, detectives arrested Athena Gotti, 21 and Jeremiah Leo Hernandez, 31, of San Luis Obispo and Robin Lea Newman, 22, of Los Osos. There was also an underage girl there, police said.
Kiser and Gotti were being held in County Jail Friday on suspicion of possessing stolen property, an illegal drug and narcotic paraphernalia, and child endangerment, police said.
Soto, was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, an illegal drug and a probation violation, police said.
Hernandez was being held on a warrant, and on suspicion of violating terms of his parole, according to police.
Newman was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, police said.
