A receipt left at the scene of a burglary in Guadalupe led to the arrest of a Nipomo man.
The burglary victim called sheriff's deputies to report that the receipt was connected to an address in the 1100 block of Pomeroy in Nipomo. Deputies went to the address to talk to resident Jeremy Carlos Madrigal, 38.

When deputies arrived at 11:20 p.m., Madrigal fled in the truck thought to have been used in the burglary, according to authorities. After a brief chase, Madrigal got out of the truck on Viva Way and surrendered.
The truck, however, continued southbound on the northbound side of Viva Way. Deputies used a special maneuver to get the truck to stop before it hit another car or structures in the area.
Madrigal was taken to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital for an apparent drug reaction before being booked into County Jail, according to the Sheriff's Department.
An allegedly stolen vehicle was also found at Madrigal's home.
Madrigal was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $25,000.
