Carly Fiorina, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, will be the guest of honor Thursday at a reception sponsored by the Republican Party of San Luis Obispo County and the Lincoln Club of San Luis Obispo County.
The VIP reception begins at 5:30 p.m. at Holland Ranch, 2275 Carpenter Road, San Luis Obispo. A general reception follows at 6:30 p.m.
Fiorina is former chairman and chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard. Her opponent in the GOP primary is Assemblyman Chuck DeVore.
The winner of that June primary contest will face off against three-term incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer in November.
