A 74-year-old woman was airlifted by a CHP helicopter Monday after she fractured her ankle following a fall at the top of Bishop Peak. The woman, whose name was not released by authorities, was lifted onto the helicopter, above, and flown to the bottom of the mountain. From there, she was taken by ambulance to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. Hikers still on the mountain had a birds-eye view of the operation. Additional information was not available.
