The following services and agencies are being affected this week by Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day holiday and extended observances:

Schools

• Atascadero and Lucia Mar districts are off through Friday.

• Cayucos Elementary and Pleasant Valley districts have minimum day today.

• Shandon schools are closed today through Monday.

• All K-12 schools are off Thursday and Friday.

Government

• All state, county, city and community services district offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Federal offices are closed Thursday.

• Post offices are closed Thursday with no delivery except for Express Mail.

• Post offices are also closed Friday in Arroyo Grande, Avila Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, San Miguel, San Simeon, Santa Margarita and Shandon. The Creston post office will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Colleges

• Cuesta College is closed Thursday through Saturday. No classes will be held today, but the campus will be open.

• Cal Poly is closed today through Sunday. The Kennedy Library is closed today through Saturday.

Other services

• Bank closures will vary. Stock markets are closed Thursday, and trading is a half day Friday ending at 10 a.m. Pacific time.

• Libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Paso Robles library is also closed Saturday.

• Trash pickup is not affected in San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Los Osos, Cayucos or Cambria. Pickup in other cities may be delayed. Contact your garbage service provider for details.

• The Tribune offices are closed Thursday and Friday, but home delivery is not affected.
