Comments (0) | The Paso Robles High girls tennis team advanced to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division III playoffs with a 14-4 win over St. Bonaventure on Friday.
The Bearcats (15-2) swept the nine doubles matches led by the team of Lauren Redberg and Lauren Hynes, who lost just two total games in three matches.
Maria Petiy won both of her singles matches while teammate Savannah Carlson took two of three for Paso Robles. Valencia will play at Paso Robles at 2 p.m. today in a second-round matchup.
In other CIF-Southern Section playoff action, the San Luis Obispo girls tennis team (15-3) will travel to play Long Beach Poly (12-6) in a second-round matchup today at 1 p.m.
The Arroyo Grande High boys water polo team will host top-seeded Palos Verdes at 1 p.m. today in the Division IV quarterfinals. Palos Verdes beat Newbury Park 23-10 in an opening-round game.
