A Paso Robles man was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Highway 41 near Creston.

Lee Williams, 18, was killed when the 1990 Honda Civic he was driving crossed the southbound lane and went into a culvert just south of Cripple Creek Road about 8 a.m., according to the CHP.
Williams appeared to be dead when emergency responders arrived on the scene, according to the CHP.
The area was reportedly very foggy at the time of the crash.

San Luis Obispo
A woman walking down a San Luis Obispo street Monday evening was able to fight off a man who attempted to steal her purse, according to police.
The woman, a 23-year-old San Luis Obispo resident, was walking south on Nipomo Street near the Pismo Street intersection at 7:15 p.m when she heard footsteps from behind, according to a press release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
As the woman turned around, a man grabbed her purse. As she resisted, the man grabbed her hair, according to police.
The woman was able to fight off the attack, and the suspect ran away without the purse.
The woman could not provide any specific details about the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 781-7317.

United Cerebral Palsy of San Luis Obispo County has created several special activities on Saturdays for youth ages 6 to 18 with disabilities:
• Oct. 29, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Howl-o-ween Hoopla at San Luis Obispo’s downtown Farmer’s Market.
•Nov. 21, 1 to 4 p.m.: An afternoon at Avila Valley Barn.
•Dec. 12, 1 to 4 p.m.: Christmas Party at Meadow Park in SLO.
