Youve probably noticed that SanLuisObispo.com looks a little different today. As part of our ongoing effort to make our Web site easier to use, weve moved some things around. Dont worry, we havent gotten rid of anything weve just consolidated the content a bit. That way you dont have to scroll around so much to find what youre looking for. Heres what weve changed:
Latest From the Newsroom: Our breaking news headlines are now displayed horizontally in a carousel. Just click the green arrows to scroll through the most recent headlines. And, just as before, you can click on the orange heading that says Latest From the Newsroom to see even more stories.
Todays Featured Stories: Here, weve rounded up a few stories we think youll find interesting from our news, sports and features sections. Just like with the breaking news headlines, you can click the green arrows to browse these stories. Want to see the rest of the stories in a particular section? Click on the more stories link right below the text.
Bloggers and Columnists: Were now featuring the three most recent posts from our bloggers and columnists more prominently on the homepage. Looking for a blog or column you dont see here? Click on the read more link below our writers smiling faces, and youll be taken to a page with all our bloggers and columnists latest posts.
Crime Maps and Caption Contest: Did you know about the crime reports we publish for San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Atascadero? How about our caption contest? Sometimes our features get buried deep in the Web site; we plan to use this spot to highlight a few we think youll find useful or fun.
Now that weve told you what weve changed, its your turn to tell us what you think. Like it? Hate it? Tell us why. Cant find something youre looking for? Let us know. Were always striving to make SanLuisObispo.com better for our readers, so we appreciate your feedback.
