Army Spc. Iunker, 19, was hurt Sept. 10 when a truck he and others were riding in crashed in Iraq. Seven soldiers were killed.
Blakeslee organized the lunch following a ceremony Wednesday in Sacramento that honored a distinguished veteran from each of the 80 Assembly districts.
Others honored Friday were Army Sgt. Anthoney Maduena, Army Sgt. Juan Tony Ferrer, Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Richard “Rick” Low of Cambria, Army 1st Lt. Greg Sanders of Cambria, Aircraft Armorer John Angel of Cambria and Army Air Corps Gunner John “Jack” Gibson of Cambria.
