Comments (0) | Officers arrested a local man after a woman was shot in the head at her Paso Robles home, police said Saturday.
Just before midnight Friday, officers found that the 34-year-old woman in her home along Via Promesa had been shot several times, but was conscious, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.
She identified her suspect before being taken to a hospital, and is expected to survive her injuries, police said. Officers arrested Steven Smith, 28, on Bonita Place in San Miguel.
Smith, of San Miguel is being held in County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Police are not disclosing the woman’s name, nor other details, because it is a domestic violence case, and it remains under investigation.
