THE UGLY TRUTH 1 1/2 stars (Sony Pictures, '09) $28.96. 96 mins. Struggling with meeting Mr. Right, a TV producer tries to follow the advice of a chauvinistic friend. With Gerard Butler, Katherine Heigl, Bonnie Somerville. R (sexual content and profanity)

SPREAD (Starz / Anchor Bay, '09) $29.98. 97 mins. A young gigolo, who preys on older women, falls for a sexual grifter - a waitress his own age. With Ashton Kutcher, Anne Heche, Margarita Levieva. Distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment. R (strong sexual content, nudity and language).
