Two new comic strips debut this week in place of "B.C." and "Wizard of Id," whose creators died recently. They will run Monday through Saturday for the next few weeks to gauge reader interest.
“Pearls Before Swine,” by Stephan Pastis, follows the misadventures of two unlikely roommates: a dim-witted pig and an arrogant rat.
“F Minus,” by Tony Carillo, is a biting joke-of-the-day strip in the vein of “Rubes” and “The Far Side.”
